Honda Achieves 300 Million Cumulative Global Motorcycle Production
Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda showcased an array of products at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi. They have launched several new and interesting products in several markets of the world.
Today on 9th December, 2014 Honda Motor Co., Ltd, are proud to announce that they have achieved manufacturing their 300-millionth unit. It took the Japanese manufacturer almost 66 years to achieve this milestone and we believe they will cherish this moment for a while.
Takanobu Ito, President and CEO of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. expressed, "Thanks to support from our customers and all of the people involved in development, production and sales, Honda was able to reach the 300 million-unit milestone. We will continue to provide products that will please our customers in each country and region in the world."
The 300 million motorcycle manufactured was built at their Kumamoto facility in Japan. This was their very first motorcycle manufacturing assembly in the world. They had organised a ceremony to celebrate the production of their 300 million motorcycle milestone.
Everyone would be wondering what the 300-millionth motorcycle manufactured by Honda is. They have worked on a special 2015 Gold Wing model at their Kumamoto facility. Honda as a company has come a long way from their initial motorcycles.
The Japanese manufacture came into existence in 1949 with their Dream Type-D two-wheeler. Honda's philosophy from the very beginning has been to ‘build products close to the customer'. Today they are present in over 22 countries and have 33 facilities around the world.
