Hero HF-Deluxe Eco Launched, Price Rs 50,500
Earlier this week Hero MotoCorp launched the HF-Deluxe Eco commuter motorcycle in a low key event that did not catch much attention. In contrast, the new Splendor iSmart that was launched yesterday was a much bigger deal for obvious reasons.
The new HF-Deluxe Eco, first showcased along with the new Splendor iSmart last year, is a regular HF-Deluxe with new stickers and a new ‘Eco' moniker, which Hero claims stands for a more efficient version of the existing motorcycle.

In reality, the Eco is same bike with minor improvements which normally should have been introduced as a new variant or better still, as the next gen HF Deluxe.

Speaking about the changes offered with the HF-Deluxe Eco; it gets differently styled wing mirror covers which are said to facilitate smoother air flow, new stylized airfoils on the crash guard and lastly, the most significant change, low rolling resistance tyres.
Overall, these changes are said to improve the aerodynamic efficiency of the commuter motorcycle and improve its mileage. However, Hero has not provided an official mileage figure. The claimed mileage figure for the regular HF Deluxe is 87 kmpl.

The HF-Deluxe Eco is otherwise powered by the same 97.2 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine providing 7.8 PS power at 7,500 rpm and 8.04 Nm of peak torque at 4,500 rpm; mated to a 4-speed transmission.
On road in Delhi Hero HF-Deluxe Eco costs INR 50,500, which is about Rs 5000 more than the standard HF-Deluxe.
