Bajaj Discover 125 M Launched; Price Rs 48,000
Discover 100, 100M, 100 T, 125, 125 T & 125 ST. The list of Bajaj Discover lineup was already pretty long, spread across an already narrow price band. To this lineup Bajaj today added yet another variant - the Discover 125 M.
The new Bajaj Discover 125 M looks like any other Discover and will sit between the Discover 125 and 125 T.
Power comes from the familiar four-stroke, 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled and carburetted DTS-i engine that puts out 11.3bhp at 8000 rpm and a torque of 10.8 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine is coupled to a five speed transmission and will take the bike to a top speed of 100 km/h.
More importantly, the new Bajaj Discover 125 M will deliver a claimed mileage of 76 kmpl and comes with a 9.5 liter fuel tank.
Standard features include, 130mm drum brakes front and back, electric starter, blacked out ten spoke alloy wheels, front forks and rear Nitrox twin shocks. 200mm front disc brakes are available as optional feature.
Colours offered include electron blue, wine red, charcoal magenta, charcoal green, silver blue and silver gold.
Discover 125 M has been priced at Rs 48,000, though opting for the optional disc brake will take the price up to Rs 50,000. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
K Srinivas, president - motorcycle business, said, "Many consumers are tired of the regular commuter bikes which offer only around 8 Ps Power. They would ideally wish to upgrade to sportier, attractive bikes with superior technology and features. However barriers such as price and mileage deter them to move on to the 125cc segment. The all new Discover 125 offers equivalent mileage of a 100cc and comes with exciting performance and features all at an attractive price. We want the Indian commuter to live life to the fullest and "Jiyo Dana-Dan."
