Yamaha R15 Variants Explained
Yamaha currently sells the R15 in its fourth generation, featuring a racing-inspired design and styling. The lineup includes three trims-R15S, R15 V4, and R15M. Here are the key differences between these models and which one suits you best.

Engine and Transmission
The engine and transmission remain the same across all variants. It is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It produces 18.4 PS of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
It also features VVA (Variable Valve Actuation), which ensures strong low-end torque while delivering a noticeable power boost at higher RPMs. This improves both performance and fuel efficiency, especially in city riding conditions.
