Yamaha Fascino 125 & RayZR 125 Hybrid Scooters Recalled - 3.06 Lakh Units Affected
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha. has initiated a voluntary recall campaign for its Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid and RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid scooters, affecting 3,06,635 units manufactured between 2 May 2024 and 3 September 2025.
The recall was announced by the Japanese two-wheeler giant as part of a safety action covering potential brake component issues on certain scooters in the 125cc hybrid range. As stated before, the recall from Yamaha is a voluntary oen from the manufacturer itself.

The recall campaign addresses a concern where the front brake calliper - a component in the braking system - may exhibit limited functionality under specific operating conditions in a select batch of the affected scooters. Yamaha has identified that this condition could lead to reduced front braking performance if the issue arises during use.
Yamaha has stated that the replacement of the affected brake part will be provided free of charge at authorised Yamaha service centres across India for all eligible vehicles covered under the recall campaign. There is no cost to customers for the inspection or for fitting the corrected part as part of this safety action.
Both the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid are included in the recall. Owners of the affected models have been advised that their scooters may be part of the campaign based on the chassis number and manufacturing period. Affected units are those produced and registered within the defined timeframe, and owners are urged to verify eligibility through official channels provided by Yamaha.
To check if a specific scooter is included in the recall, owners can visit the Service section of the official Yamaha Motor India website and access the Voluntary Recall Campaign page. By entering the chassis number under the Scooter 125 category, customers can confirm recall eligibility and see next steps for repair or part replacement. The company has also provided contact options, such as the toll-free helpline or authorised dealerships, to assist owners in the recall process.
The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid both feature Yamaha's Blue Core Hybrid powertrain, which combines a fuel-injected 125 cc engine with hybrid assist technology for improved low-end torque and acceleration and also acts as an integrated starter motor. Both the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid have seen strong consumer interest within the 125 cc scooter segment in India.
