VinFast Set to Enter India with 3 Electric Scooters – EV Expansion Begins!
Vietnamese automaker VinFast is all set to enter the Indian electric scooter market. The brand is already selling EV cars in India, such as the VF6 and VF7, and is also looking to expand into commercial segments, including electric buses.
VinFast Entering the Indian EV scooter Segment
VinFast electric scooters will be launched in India, with the initial batch expected to arrive via CKD (Completely Knocked Down). The first three scooters will be the Evo, Feliz 2, and Viper. All these EV scooters will be assembled at the brand's Thoothukudi manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.

In the future, the same facility will be used for local manufacturing, with most components sourced within India. These lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery-powered scooters feature hub-mounted motors focused on daily urban commuting.
The Evo Grand delivers a maximum claimed range of 262 km and offers a 35-litre boot space. It features a classic scooter design with round LED headlamps and clean body lines. The Feliz 2 is a modern and elegant scooter with a maximum range of 156 km on a single charge. It has riding modes (Eco, Sport) and has an IP67 water resistance rating. Additional highlights include an LED projector headlamp, regenerative braking system, and hydraulic damping.

Another EV scooter set to enter the market is the Viper. It delivers a maximum claimed range of 156 km and has a top speed of 70 km/h. Key features include a smart key, IP67 rating, TFT display, front disc brakes, alloy wheels, and dual LED headlamps.
All these scooters are expected to compete in the Indian EV segment against rivals such as TVS, Bajaj, Hero Vida, Ather Energy, and Ola Electric. VinFast is already seeing a strong momentum in the Indian EV car market. They are also planning to expand their presence across multiple segments, including commercial taxi and buses.
