Upcoming ADV Bikes In India: Himalayan 750, Norton Atlas & Bajaj ADV

The premium Adventure Motorcycle segment is set to welcome four exciting new models in the coming months, including the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750, Himalayan 440, the TVS-owned Norton Atlas ADV, and the upcoming Bajaj Adventure motorcycle.

The Indian two-wheeler market holds a special place for premium adventure motorcycles. This category continues to attract enthusiasts and long-distance travellers who seek a combination of comfort, performance, and off-road capability for their journeys.

Upcoming ADV Bikes In India

The segment is currently dominated by motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure. With demand steadily increasing, several manufacturers are preparing new launches that could further strengthen and expand India's adventure motorcycle segment. Royal Enfield, Bajaj, and Norton are among the brands gearing up to introduce exciting new models in the coming months.

Royal Enfield

The leading premium motorcycle manufacturer is expected to debut both the Himalayan 750 and Himalayan 440 in the near future. Industry reports suggest that these motorcycles could make their global debut at the EICMA 2026 motorcycle show.

The Himalayan 750 is expected to become Royal Enfield's new flagship adventure motorcycle. It could feature a larger and more powerful twin-cylinder engine producing between 55hp and 60hp, making it the most capable Himalayan yet. A market launch could take place by late 2026 or early 2027.

Another highly anticipated model is the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440. Expected to be based on the Scram 440 platform, the motorcycle could borrow styling elements from the original Himalayan 411. This approach may appeal to long-time Royal Enfield enthusiasts who continue to appreciate the design and character of the first-generation Himalayan.

Norton Motorcycles

TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles is also preparing to enter the adventure motorcycle segment. The company is expected to introduce the Norton Atlas and Atlas GT following the launch of the Norton Manx R in India.

Unlike the Manx series, the Atlas models are expected to be powered by a 585cc parallel-twin engine paired with a six-speed gearbox and slipper-assist clutch. Multiple test prototypes have already been spotted on Indian roads, indicating that development is progressing steadily.

Bajaj Adventure

One of the biggest surprises this year has been the emergence of a potential Bajaj adventure motorcycle. Bajaj Auto has achieved success across several motorcycle categories, but it currently does not offer a dedicated adventure touring model.

Recent spy shots suggest that Bajaj is actively testing an ADV motorcycle that could become the brand's first purpose-built adventure bike. The motorcycle is expected to share its engine and platform with KTM's 250cc or 390cc range, showing the strong partnership between Bajaj and KTM.

If launched, the motorcycle could be positioned as an affordable adventure tourer with aggressive pricing, similar to Bajaj's strategy with the Pulsar NS200 and NS400Z. It is likely to compete against models such as the TVS Apache RTX 300, Suzuki V-Strom SX, Hero Xpulse 210, and KTM Adventure range.
