Ultraviolette X-47 Skyforce Joins Kolkata Police Fleet
Ultraviolette has delivered 183 units of the X-47 Skyforce to the Kolkata Police, introducing a dedicated law-enforcement variant of the X-47 Crossover into the force's fleet. The Skyforce runs on an electronics architecture designed specifically to support police-duty equipment.
Ultraviolette says the motorcycle has been configured to meet the Kolkata Police's operational requirements. Its electronics support sirens, hooters, a public address system, LED blinkers, mic holders, walkie-talkie holders and side panniers.

Ultraviolette X-47 Skyforce range and hardware
The X-47 Skyforce is based on the standard X-47 and carries over its 211km IDC range and 145kph top speed. Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm USD fork at the front and a rear monoshock, with 170mm of travel at both ends.
Braking hardware comes from Bybre, comprising a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc. Ultraviolette and the Kolkata Police cite lower running and maintenance costs of electric motorcycles compared with petrol equivalents as a key factor behind the induction, alongside the environmental benefit.
Commenting on the X-47 'Skyforce', Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said: "It gives us great honour to launch a new variant- X-47 'Skyforce'; a purpose developed tactical machine for the police forces. This is a landmark moment for Ultraviolette, as we become the first electric two-wheeler manufacturer by scale to have our motorcycles inducted into the police force. Beyond the significance of this milestone, we take immense pride in knowing that our technology will now contribute to the everyday duties of police officers who work tirelessly to maintain law and order and keep our cities safe.
Designed to be seamlessly integrated across diverse use cases, the X-47 'Skyforce' can adapt to the evolving needs of law enforcement, and support officers across a wide range of operational requirements. We thank the Kolkata Police for placing their trust in Ultraviolette and look forward to supporting its officers with mobility that is not only futuristic, but purpose-built for duty."
