Ultraviolette's 'Kill the Petrol Bill' Scheme Turns Your ICE Kilometres Into EV Cashback
Ultraviolette has launched the 'Kill the Petrol Bill' programme, a nationwide initiative that converts a rider's existing petrol mileage history into direct purchase benefits on the F77 and X-47 electric motorcycles. Announced on June 5, 2026, the scheme targets two-wheeler owners evaluating a switch to electric mobility amid sustained fuel price increases across India.
Total benefits under the programme can reach up to Rs 30,000 per customer, determined by verified riding history from the previous two years. Ultraviolette frames this as a tangible response to rising petrol costs, translating past fuel dependency into forward-looking ownership value.

How The 'Kill the Petrol Bill' Cashback Works
The cashback is calculated at Rs 1 per kilometre ridden on the customer's previous petrol two-wheeler over the past two years. A rider with 20,000 km of documented usage in that window qualifies for Rs 20,000 off the purchase of an F77 or X-47. Benefits scale directly with mileage, up to the Rs 30,000 ceiling.
Cashback verification is based on the customer's actual historical mileage from their prior ICE two-wheeler. The incentive applies to both the F77, Ultraviolette's flagship performance electric motorcycle, and the X-47, the brand's crossover-segment model priced from Rs 2,49,000.
Ongoing Fuel Savings
Beyond the upfront cashback, Ultraviolette claims F77 and X-47 owners can save Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 per month on fuel expenditure alone. Relative to recurring petrol costs at current prices, the company positions the long-term running cost reduction as the stronger financial argument for making the switch.
The programme follows Ultraviolette's Battery Flex BaaS plan, launched in March 2026, which had already reduced the entry cost of the X-47 to Rs 1.49 lakh by separating battery financing from the motorcycle purchase price.
Commenting on the announcement, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said "The rising cost of petrol has been a topic of widespread discussion for some time now, but there has been relatively little action that directly helps consumers transition away from fuel dependency. At Ultraviolette, we believe the shift to electric mobility needs to be supported by tangible measures that make EV ownership more accessible and compelling, which is also in line with our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of fast-tracking EV transition.
Through this programme, we are enabling prospective two-wheeler owners across India to make that switch with greater confidence, while benefiting from significantly lower running costs, advanced technology, and a superior ownership experience. As electric mobility continues to mature, our focus remains on accelerating adoption by making the transition easier and more rewarding for riders nationwide."
