Ultraviolette Tesseract Launch Delayed To 2027: Here’s Why

Ultraviolette has reportedly pushed the launch timeline of the highly anticipated Ultraviolette Tesseract to January 2027. The performance-focused electric scooter was originally expected to launch much earlier and has remained one of the most awaited EV two-wheelers in the Indian market.

The Bengaluru-based EV startup first unveiled the futuristic Ultraviolette Tesseract concept in 2025. The scooter immediately grabbed attention due to its aggressive styling, sporty proportions, and advanced technology-focused design language. The Tesseract was positioned as a premium high-performance electric scooter designed for enthusiasts as well as urban riders looking for futuristic mobility solutions.

However, Ultraviolette has now decided to postpone the launch of the scooter until January 2027. According to reports, the company wants to further improve the ride quality, comfort levels, and overall riding experience before introducing the production version into the market.

The delay could also allow the brand to integrate additional innovations, upgraded software systems, and more advanced rider assistance technologies into the scooter. The company believes there is still room for further improvements, which is one of the main reasons behind extending the development timeline of the scooter.

The Ultraviolette Tesseract already stands out as one of the widest and most practical electric scooters showcased by the company so far. The concept model had earlier received several customer and enthusiast feedback suggestions, based on which Ultraviolette has reportedly made multiple changes to the scooter.

One of the key improvements includes a redesigned seat setup aimed at improving comfort for both the rider and pillion passenger. The floorboard area has also been revised to provide more legroom, better ergonomics, and improved practicality for daily usage.

The production-spec Ultraviolette Tesseract is expected to deliver significantly strong performance figures for an electric scooter. Reports suggest the final model could achieve a claimed top speed of around 125 km/h, placing it among the fastest electric scooters in India.

Ultraviolette is also expected to offer the scooter with multiple battery pack configurations including 3.5 kWh, 4 kWh, and 6 kWh options. This could allow the company to target different types of buyers based on pricing and range requirements.

Several advanced features are also expected to be borrowed from the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and the Ultraviolette X-47. These could include dual-channel ABS, traction control, radar-based rider assistance systems, Hypersense safety technology, smartphone connectivity, and other premium electronic aids.

With the launch delay, Ultraviolette now appears focused on refining the Tesseract further to ensure it delivers a more polished, comfortable, and technologically advanced experience when it finally enters production.
