Ultraviolette EV Setting New Plant In Karnataka
Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette is already one of the most recognised and fast-growing EV brands in India. Unlike many other players in the segment, the company focuses heavily on advanced technology and performance-oriented electric vehicles. This agreement was signed during the 'Invest Karnataka' event held in Bengaluru.
Under this partnership, the Karnataka government will extend PLI (Production Linked Incentive) benefits and infrastructure support to facilitate the setup of the new facility. This move is expected to boost job creation, innovation, and overall industrial growth in the state. With the EV sector witnessing rapid expansion in India, such investments further strengthen Karnataka's position as a key EV hub.

Ultraviolette is already based in Bengaluru, which gives it a strategic advantage in terms of ecosystem and talent availability. The brand has been gaining global attention for its high-performance electric vehicles, especially the F77 and the upcoming X47 series, which are particularly popular among enthusiasts and tech-focused buyers.
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, said, "Karnataka has been central to Ultraviolette's vision of 'Make in India for the World'. This proposed manufacturing expansion reflects our confidence in the state's progressive EV ecosystem, skilled talent, and strong policy support. The combination of infrastructure readiness, proactive governance, and long-term incentives provides a solid foundation for Ultraviolette's next phase of growth."

Ultraviolette currently operates over 40 experience centres across India and plans to expand its presence to 100 cities by the end of 2026. The company has also partnered with Bolt. Earth is to develop a Type 6 DC fast-charging network across the country.
At present, Ultraviolette offers two models in India-the F77, priced at ₹2.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and the X47 crossover, starting at ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has also introduced a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, making its products more accessible by reducing upfront costs for customers.
