TVS-Owned Norton Motorcycles India Entry Confirmed With ManxR Superbike
Norton Motorcycles is preparing to enter into the Indian market later this year, marking a major milestone in the revival of the iconic British brand under the ownership of TVS Motor Company. The first model expected to arrive is the flagship Norton ManxR, which will be imported to India as a completely built unit (CBU).
Norton Motorcycles India Launch Confirmed
Backed by TVS Motor Company, Norton Motorcycles is undergoing a revival and is expected to introduce four new models globally: the Norton ManxR, Norton Manx, Norton Atlas, and Norton Atlas GT.

The Norton ManxR superbike will be powered by a 1,200cc 72-degree V4 engine producing 206 bhp and 130 Nm of torque. While the engine is expected to be manufactured by TVS Motor Company, several critical components will continue to be sourced from the United Kingdom.
The recently signed India-UK Free Trade Agreement could help the company price the motorcycle more competitively in India. In international markets, it rivals machines such as the Ducati Panigale V4 and the BMW S 1000 RR. In the UK, the motorcycle is priced at approximately £20,250, which translates to around ₹26 lakh. Indian pricing could be made according to the market and its rivals.
Key features are expected to include adjustable traction control, wheelie control, rear-wheel slide control, multiple riding modes, cornering ABS, cruise control, launch control, and hill hold control, placing it among the most technologically advanced superbikes in its segment.

Following the launch of its flagship models, Norton Motorcycles is expected to introduce the Norton Atlas range. These middleweight adventure motorcycles are likely to be manufactured at TVS Motor Company's Hosur facility and could target the highly competitive 500cc adventure motorcycle segment.
With strong backing from TVS Motor Company, Norton Motorcycles is set for a fresh start in India. The brand is expected to establish dedicated retail outlets in major cities and may also use India as a manufacturing hub for exports to Europe and the United States.
