TVS iQube EVs Big Milestone: 8 Lakh Electric Scooters Sold

TVS Motor Company has achieved a major sales milestone with its iQube electric scooter in India. One of the most popular electric scooters in the country, the iQube, has crossed 8 lakh units. Launched in 2020, the TVS iQube has reached this significant milestone after six years of consistent growth in the Indian EV market.

TVS iQube Electric Scooter Sales Milestone

The eight lakh sales mark was achieved in December 2025. The same month, the scooter crossed over 30,000 units. While it took nearly three years to cross the first 1 lakh sales milestone, TVS managed to sell the remaining 7 lakh units in the next three years, highlighting the rapid growth in the last few years.

TVS iQube and the Bajaj Chetak are currently the two most popular electric scooters in the Indian EV market. In 2025, these two traditional manufacturers dominated sales charts, pushing Ola Electric, Ather Energy, and Hero Vida to third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively.

The key reasons behind the iQube's popularity include its practicality, real-world range, reliability, and technology. As EV adoption accelerates in India, especially in urban cities, more buyers are opting for electric scooters. TVS has successfully captured a significant share of this growing market with the iQube.

Despite facing stiff competition from startups like Ola Electric and Ather Energy, TVS focused on its core strengths, including daily practicality, a familiar scooter design, and a strong after-sales network. Being an established two-wheeler manufacturer has also helped TVS earn greater trust among buyers.

The TVS iQube is offered in three variants: iQube, iQube S, and iQube ST. It is available with three battery options: 2.2 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 5.5 kWh. The largest battery variant delivers a claimed range of up to 212 km on a single charge.

Additionally, the scooter features an LED lighting setup, a 17.78 cm touchscreen dashboard, 32 litres of under-seat storage, charging facilities, switch controls, and SmartXonnect with watch connectivity.

The TVS iQube is priced at ₹94,434 (ex-showroom), the iQube S at ₹1.17 lakh (ex-showroom), and the top-spec iQube ST at ₹1.58 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes against rivals such as the Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 Pro Plus, Ather Rizta, and Hero Vida VX2.
