TVS Patents Futuristic e.FX.30 Electric Bike in India: First EV Motorcycle Incoming?

TVS has patented the design of its new e.FX.30 electric motorcycle in India. This EV bike was first showcased at the EICMA 2025 event in Milan and could become the company's first-ever electric motorcycle if launched in the Indian market.

TVS is already one of the leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, with its iQube ev scooter consistently ranking among the best-selling electric scooters in the country. The company is now looking to expand its EV portfolio by introducing a futuristic electric motorcycle for the domestic market within the next couple of years.

TVS e.FX.30 EV Motorcycle Patented

At EICMA 2025, TVS showcased the e.FX.30 as a concept electric bike, and it stood out with its bold, futuristic design and advanced technology. The recent design patent filing in India signals that TVS is serious about bringing this motorcycle closer to production.

Patenting the design allows TVS to further develop the product around its unique styling and features. The concept bike features a bracket-shaped LED headlamp with DRLs, an integrated camera system positioned at the centre of the headlamp, golden USD front forks, 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, a muscular tank design, a sharp tail section, and an overall wide and aggressive stance.

The e.FX.30 is expected to be positioned as a mid-segment naked electric motorcycle, likely taking on rivals such as the Ultraviolette F77, Ola Roadster, Revolt V400, and Tork Kratos R. It is also expected to feature a large TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity.

With the presence of an integrated camera system, the motorcycle could be equipped with ADAS-like safety features, including blind-spot detection, collision warnings, traffic alerts, and possibly even automatic emergency braking to create a safety bubble around the rider.

TVS has not revealed any official details about the electric powertrain yet. However, expectations suggest a range of around 250-300 km. Performance levels are expected to be on par with a 200cc ICE motorcycle. With the design now patented, TVS appears to be moving closer to launching this electric motorcycle in India, with potential plans to export it to global markets such as the UK.

The Hosur-based manufacturer already has a strong dealership and service network, which has played a key role in the success of its electric scooters. TVS could use the same advantage to establish a strong presence in the electric motorcycle segment by making it more affordable.
