Triumph Tracker 400 Launched At ₹2.46 Lakh - Gets New 349cc Engine
British bike maker Triumph has launched the new Tracker 400 in India at ₹2.46 lakh (ex-showroom). Like the rest of the newly revised Triumph 400 lineup, the Tracker 400 for the Indian market is being offered with the firm's new 349cc engine.
Triumph Tracker 400 Launched - Design
The Triumph Tracker 400 features a design inspired by flat-track racers, which is also where it gets its name from. It features a cowl above the headlight, a boxy fuel tank with Tracker lettering, a side racing panel with "400" graphics and an optional rear seat cowl.

Compared with the Speed 400, the new Triumph Tracker 400 features wider and more lower set handlebars and rear-set footpegs for a more focused riding position. The Tracker 400 also features a flat single-piece seat that sits 805mm above the ground.
The new Triumph Tracer 400 features a new design for the 17-inch cast aluminium wheels and sports an exhaust setup that looks to have been borrowed from the Scrambler 400 X and is available in three colour options - Racing Yellow, Phantom Black and Aluminium Silver Gloss.

Triumph Tracker 400 Launched - Mechanical Bits
The Triumph Tracker 400 for India is powered by a 349cc engine, which is in the same state of tune as the updated Thruxton 400 for India, which means that it kicks out 40PS at 8,750rpm and 32Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox aided by a slip-and-assist clutch.

The Tracker 400 features the same frame as the rest of Triumph's 400 lineup. This tubular steel hybrid spine and perimeter frame with a bolt-on rear sub-frame is suspended off 43mm black anodised upside-down big piston forks at the front that offer 140mm of travel, and a rear gas monoshock RSU that also provides 140mm of travel. The 17-inch cast aluminium wheels are shod with blocky pattern MRF REVZ FD1 tyres.
Braking duties on the Triumph Tracker 400 are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc that are aided by dual-channel ABS. The Tracker 400 also features switchable traction control.

Manik Nangia, President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto, said: "The Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X, and the Thruxton have seen strong acceptance, expanding Triumph's appeal to younger riders. Building on this momentum, the Tracker 400 introduces greater choice. With its stripped-back flat track attitude, it delivers more fun, more style, and a distinctly sportier ride."
