Limited-Edition Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC Launched At Rs 21 Lakh - Only 750 Units Offered Worldwide

British bikemaker Triumph has launched the Speed Twin 1200 TFC in India at Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom), a day after the limited-edition motorcycle's global unveiling. Based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, production of the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is capped at 750 individually numbered units worldwide.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is only the fifth motorcycle to carry the Triumph Factory Custom (TFC) badge, following the Thruxton TFC that debuted in 2019. Deliveries of the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC are scheduled to start in October.

Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC: The Mechanical & Electronic Bits

Power for the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC comes from the same 1,200cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin found on the Speed Twin 1200 RS, producing 105hp at 7,750rpm and 112Nm at 4,250rpm. A 270-degree crankshaft gives the motor a deeper, more offbeat firing character than a conventional even-firing twin.

Drive from the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC's twin-cylinder engine goes through a six-speed gearbox fitted with a bidirectional quickshifter for clutchless up and down shifts. The stock exhaust has been swapped for Akrapovič titanium silencers finished in black with carbon-fibre end caps.

Clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs replace the RS's touring-friendly ergonomics on the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC, pushing the rider into a lower, more committed stance. Öhlins units handle suspension duties at both ends, with a USD fork up front and twin rear shocks, all adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping.

Braking hardware on the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC features Brembo Stylema M4.30 front calipers from the RS, but adds a Brembo radial master cylinder and an adjustable MCS front brake lever for sharper feel. The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC rides on seven-spoke cast-aluminium wheels that are wrapped in Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres. The Speed Twin 1200 TFC tips the scales at 214kg (wet), 2kg lighter than the standard RS.

Electronics on the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC are carried over unchanged from the Speed Twin 1200 RS. These include three riding modes, cornering ABS and cornering traction control. The instrument cluster keeps Triumph's familiar circular twin-dial layout, combining an LCD section with a colour TFT display, and includes a USB-C charging port.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC is offered exclusively in an Obsidian Gold scheme, pairing a metallic black base with gold detailing that shifts under changing light. Carbon-fibre bodywork covers the front and rear mudguards, side panels and heel guards, while a gold chain and gold-anodised suspension components add further contrast against the black engine covers and fork sliders.

The Speed Twin 1200 TFC sports a hand-stitched single-piece seat that uses black leather with suede inserts and ribbed detailing. Each bike gets a laser-etched edition number beside the TFC emblem on its billet aluminium top yoke, a detail unique to every unit in the 750-strong run.

Triumph Speed Twin 1200 TFC: Ownership and Exclusivity

Every Speed Twin 1200 TFC ships with a Certificate of Authenticity, a branded bike cover and a waterproof seat cover as standard. With just 750 units built for global markets and India confirmed as a launch market from day one, the TFC badge remains one of Triumph's most exclusive current offerings.
