The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition has been officially revealed as a limited edition model based on the British marque's Speed Twin 1200 RS. The limited-run Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer combines neo-retro café racer styling with the mechanical foundation of Triumph's modern classic twin.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is limited to just 800 units worldwide and marks the return of a large-capacity twin-cylinder café racer in Triumph's portfolio following the discontinuation of the Thruxton 1200.

The café racer styling on the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is more than cosmetic. The limited-run motorcycle gets low clip-on handlebars, a quilted tan leather solo seat and a colour-matched headlight cowl, giving it a silhouette that pays homage to classic British café racers.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer sports a dual-tone paint scheme of Competition Green and Aluminium Silver, with subtle touches of Empire Gold in the various graphics that feature from the tank to the seat cowl.

Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer: Engine & Other Hardware

Underneath the bespoke bodywork, the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition retains the same 1,200 cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine found in the Speed Twin 1200 RS. The powerplant produces 105 PS and 112 Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer features a bidirectional quickshifter, a feature carried over from the Speed Twin 1200 RS variant.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer sports fully adjustable Ohlins suspension up front and fully adjustable twin Ohlins RSUs with external reservoirs at the rear. Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers up front and a single 220mm fixed disc with Nissin twin-piston callipers at the rear.

The new Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer rides on Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres - 120/70 (front) and 160/60 (rear) that are draped on 17-inch, 7-spoke cast-aluminium alloy wheels. The electronic suite mirrors that of the Speed Twin 1200 RS, with features such as riding modes, Optimised Cornering ABS and Traction Control featured as standard.

The limited edition's pricing in the UK starts at GBP 15,995 (approximately ₹20.22 lakh), reflecting a big premium over the Speed Twin 1200 RS thanks to its bespoke styling, mechanical upgrades and exclusivity. Deliveries of the limited run Triumph will start in March.
