Triumph 350cc Bikes Launching Soon – Prices To Drop
Triumph Motorcycles is all set to launch a new 350cc range on April 6, 2026. This upcoming lineup will feature a downsized engine compared to the current 400cc motorcycle range.
Triumph New 350cc Range Launch Date
According to reports, Bajaj and Triumph are jointly developing a new 350cc engine to align with the government's proposed GST 2.0 norms. Under this policy, motorcycles with engines above 350cc could attract a 40% GST rate, while those below 350cc may benefit from a lower 18% tax rate.

Brands such as Royal Enfield, Bajaj, Triumph, and KTM are expected to be affected, as many of their premium models currently use engines with displacements above 350cc. However, Royal Enfield already has a strong and well-established portfolio below 350cc, reducing the immediate need for downsizing.
In contrast, Bajaj, Triumph, and KTM are reportedly working on a new 350cc platform to stay competitive under the revised tax structure. The new motorcycle range is expected to debut on April 6, 2026. It is likely that the existing 399cc engine, currently used in models like the Triumph Speed, Scrambler, and Thruxton, will be downsized.

The expected power output could be around 35 bhp and 33 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Apart from the engine changes, the overall design, components, and technology are likely to remain largely unchanged.
However, there is also an expectation that Triumph may introduce additional features such as a TFT display with connectivity, riding modes, and a quickshifter, which are becoming common in this segment.

With the reduction in engine capacity, the pricing of these motorcycles could decrease by approximately ₹30,000. This would make the range more accessible and competitive, positioning it as a strong rival to segment leaders like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Bullet 350.
If Triumph also expands service reach and spare parts availability, it could emerge as a serious challenger to Royal Enfield in the Indian market. It remains to be seen whether the existing 400cc models will continue alongside the new 350cc range, as the latter could impact the sales of the larger-capacity motorcycles.
