Top 10 Bestselling Scooters May 2026: Activa, Jupiter, Access Lead India's Scooter Sales Charts
India's scooter market closed May 2026 with the top 10 models together selling 6,41,680 units, a 23.06 percent jump over the 5,21,433 units recorded in May 2025. The segment added more than 1.2 lakh units year-on-year, with electric scooters once again outpacing their ICE counterparts in growth.
Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter held on to the top two spots and together accounted for over 55 percent of all units sold in this list, while TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak continued to climb the rankings on the back of triple-digit volume growth in the electric space. Let's take a look at the top 10 bestselling scooters of May 2026.

1. Honda Activa - 2,28,955 units
Honda Activa stayed India's best-selling scooter with 2,28,955 units sold in May 2026, up 20.05 percent from 1,90,713 units in May 2025. The model added 38,242 units year-on-year.
2. TVS Jupiter - 1,24,767 units
TVS Jupiter retained second position with 1,24,767 units, posting 27.83 percent growth over 97,606 units sold a year earlier. The scooter gained 27,161 units during the month.

3. Suzuki Access - 75,729 units
Suzuki Access held on to third place with 75,729 units, nearly flat against 75,778 units a year ago. Volumes slipped by a marginal 0.06 percent.
4. TVS iQube - 42,192 units
TVS iQube was among the fastest-growing models on the list, with sales rising 52.64 percent to 42,192 units from 27,642 units in May 2025. The electric scooter held a 6.58 percent share of total sales.

5. Bajaj Chetak - 38,376 units
Bajaj Chetak followed with 38,376 units, up 50.26 percent from 25,540 units a year ago. The electric scooter accounted for 5.98 percent of total scooter sales in May.
6. TVS Ntorq - 34,127 units
TVS Ntorq recorded 34,127 units in May 2026, registering 35.40 percent growth over 25,205 units sold in the same month last year.
7. Hero Destini 125 - 26,482 units
Hero Destini 125 surged 76.34 percent to 26,482 units from 15,018 units in May 2025, the highest growth rate among ICE scooters in the top 10.
8. Suzuki Burgman Street - 25,835 units
The Suzuki Burgman Street improved 4.65 percent YoY to 25,835 units, up from 24,688 units sold a year earlier.
9. Honda Dio - 23,814 units
Honda Dio was one of only two scooters in the top 10 to post a year-on-year decline. Sales dropped 9.18 percent to 23,814 units from 26,220 units in May 2025.
10. Yamaha RayZR - 21,403 units
Yamaha RayZR rounded off the top 10 with 21,403 units, up a strong 64.35 percent from 13,023 units sold during the same month last year.
The top five electric scooters together sold 1,36,639 units in May 2026, up 48.45 percent from 92,044 units a year ago. TVS iQube led with 42,192 units and a 30.88 percent share, followed by Bajaj Chetak at 38,376 units with a 28.09 percent share.
Ather Rizta sold 20,800 units, up 80.34 percent year-on-year, while Hero Vida posted the steepest growth among the top five at 140.76 percent, rising to 20,130 units. Ola Electric was the outlier, with sales falling 20.17 percent to 15,141 units from 18,967 units a year earlier.
