Suzuki Motorcycles Hits Major Milestone: 10 Million Two-Wheelers Produced In India

The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motorcycles has reached a new production milestone in the Indian market. A Suzuki Access 125 scooter has become the brand's 10 millionth unit produced at its Gurugram manufacturing facility. Recently, Suzuki also launched its electric Access scooter in the domestic market.

Talking about this sales milestone, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., said, "Reaching the 10 million production mark is a significant achievement for all of us at SMIPL. This has been made possible by the trust and support of our customers, dealer partners, suppliers, and employees, who have stood with us throughout this journey. By expanding our product portfolio, strengthening manufacturing capabilities, and focusing on quality and reliability, we have steadily scaled our operations in India."

He added, "Going ahead, we are further expanding our production capacity, strengthening our sales and service network, and deepening customer experience through engaging activities across the country. True to our promise of standing 'By Your Side', we continue to stand 'By Your Side'-customers, dealer partners, suppliers, and employees-at every stage."

Suzuki Motorcycles Sales in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India announced that it has crossed this production milestone in its journey, which began in February 2006. The Suzuki Access 125 has been the brand's key growth driver in India, emerging as the largest contributor to its revenue and overall production operations.

The company achieved the 5 million production milestone in 2020, and within just five years, it has added another 5 million units, reaching the 10 million mark. Suzuki is now planning to open a new production facility in Haryana, which will further strengthen its manufacturing capabilities in India.

Suzuki also exports its products to more than 60 overseas markets. Apart from the Suzuki Access 125, the brand's Indian portfolio includes the Gixxer series, V-Strom adventure motorcycles, Avenis, and Burgman scooters. They also sell premium models such as the GSX-8R and the Hayabusa superbike. Recently, Suzuki launched the Suzuki e-Access electric scooter in India, marking their entry into the electric two-wheeler segment.
