Suzuki Motorcycles Completes 20 Years In India
The brand officially entered the Indian market in 2007 and has since captured a significant market share, led by the success of the Access 125. This scooter remains one of its best-selling models, alongside the Avenis, Gixxer series, and V-Strom SX motorcycles.

In the premium segment, Suzuki offers models like the Hayabusa and V-Strom, which also enjoy strong demand. Other products in its lineup include the Burgman Street, which was recently updated with features such as an LED headlamp, keyless ignition, and a TFT display.
Suzuki manufactures its motorcycles and scooters at its Gurugram plant near Delhi. The company also exports its products to 77 countries worldwide. The brand achieved its first 1 million sales milestone in 2012 and crossed 5 million units in 2020.

By 2026, it has reached a 10 million production milestone-doubling its output in just four years. To support this growing demand, Suzuki is planning to expand with a new manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda.
Commenting on this achievement, Suzuki MD Kenichi Umeda stated that this milestone was made possible due to the trust of customers, dealers, partners, and suppliers. Delivering quality products along with a reliable after-sales network has helped the company build strong and long-term relationships with its customers.
Suzuki is now planning to introduce new products in the Indian market, starting with the next-generation Gixxer motorcycles expected to debut this year. The company has also entered the EV space with its e-Access and is exploring flex-fuel technology for India.
The brand's 'By Your Side' philosophy focuses on evolving customer needs and market trends. Moving forward, Suzuki aims to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and product lineup for the next decade.
