Studds Helios Effect Full-Face Helmet Launched At ₹3,445
Helmet manufacturer Studds Accessories has launched the Helios Effect full-face helmet in India, with prices starting at ₹3,445 (inclusive of taxes). The new variant is the fifth graphic edition in the Helios family, joining the Unicolor, D1 Asphalt, D2 Circuit and Superman editions. It is available through offline retail outlets and Studds exclusive stores, with online marketplace listings underway.
The Studds Helios was originally developed with Southeast Asian riders in mind, launching first in the Philippines before expanding to Colombia, Mexico and several other markets. The Helios was subsequently introduced in India, where it has grown into one of Studds' more prominent full-face offerings.

Studds Helios Effect - Design & Colours
The Effect graphic uses large polygonal planes that divide the shell into distinct colour zones via hard, straight edges. Six colour combinations are on offer: Black and Chameleon Blue, Black Grey and Red, Black White and Red, Black and Red with Metallic Foil, Black and Grey, and Black Blue and White.
The Black and Chameleon Blue colourways use iridescent pigment that shifts between turquoise and green depending on viewing angle, while the Metallic Foil variant applies foil to select panels for higher-intensity light reflection.
Both gloss and matte finishes are available across the range. Three head sizes are offered: Medium (57cm), Large (58cm) and Extra-Large (60cm). The outer shell is injection-moulded from high-impact ABS thermoplastic, with the complete helmet tipping the scales at 1,400 grams. A rear aerodynamic spoiler is integrated into the shell profile for stability at highway speeds.
Studds Helios Effect - Visor System, Comfort & Safety
A dual visor setup pairs a silicone-coated clear outer visor with a smoked inner sun visor, allowing light condition management without stopping for a swap. An anti-fog film bonded to the inner face of the outer visor is rated for 100 seconds of fog resistance, a figure Studds claims is three times the prevailing industry standard. A single-touch mechanism handles visor removal without tools.
The impact liner uses regulated-density EPS with different density zones calibrated to distribute impact energy across specific head areas. Inner padding is hypoallergenic, removable and washable, with a lower trim section that also detaches independently.
Dedicated recesses in the cheek pads accommodate spectacle arms, ear pockets accept audio devices or intercom speakers, and the chin strap uses a stainless steel quick-release buckle operable with one hand. A front-to-rear ventilation system draws air through intake vents and expels heat through rear exhaust ports, both integrated into the shell geometry.
The Helios Effect carries ISI certification under IS 4151 from the Bureau of Indian Standards and DOT certification under FMVSS No. 218. Cataphote retro-reflective material is embedded in the inner lining and rear collar, returning light from approaching headlights toward their source to improve rider visibility in low-light conditions.
