Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 - Engine and Hardware

The Himalayan 750 is expected to use a larger-displacement development of Royal Enfield's existing 650cc parallel-twin engine. Earlier reports had suggested around 55bhp and 60Nm with a six-speed gearbox. Cruise control, ride-by-wire and multiple riding modes are also anticipated to be featured.

Spy shots from the Uttarakhand TVC shoot showed two wheel setups. The Green and maroon colourway bikes ran alloy wheels, while the others had cross-spoke wheels that appeared consistent with a tubeless-compatible design.

A 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination is expected to be featured on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750. The visible hardware included upside-down front forks, twin front disc brakes, a rear disc and a rear monoshock with a remote preload adjuster.

Touring equipment on the test motorcycles included a tall windscreen with a central opening, stepped seating and a rear luggage rack. Several motorcycles also carried soft panniers and additional luggage.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 is a twin-cylinder adventure tourer aimed at both India and overseas markets. It arrives as Royal Enfield's above-350cc motorcycle sales decline despite overall growth, with volumes in the category falling 26.04% YoY to 12,463 units in September 2026. Q3 sales in the segment dropped 11.84% YoY to 38,983 units. Across April to September, the category recorded 74,784 sales, down 9.12% YoY.
