Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Spied At Dealership Ahead Of Launch - Tripper Screen Revealed

The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 has been spied at a dealership ahead of its official launch on 4th September with new spy shots revealing the Tripper Screen and twin-pod instrument cluster. The images, shared by Reddit user, u/ninjakitten21 show the upcoming Himalayan 440 at a showroom depot.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 with the Sherpa 450 engine is currently priced between Rs 3.08 lakh and Rs 3.4 lakh, ex-showroom. The upcoming Himalayan 440 is expected to be positioned well below this bracket, giving Royal Enfield a more affordable entry point into the Himalayan family.

The spied Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 runs regular wire-spoke wheels rather than the cross-spoke units that have been rumoured for the Himalayan 440. The Himalayan 450 gets cross-spoke wheels compatible with tubeless tyres, and buyers will be hoping the same setup makes it to higher variants of the Himalayan 440.

The instrument cluster for the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 follows a twin-pod layout. One large circular pod houses an analogue speedometer along with an LCD screen displaying trip data, fuel level, gear position and RPM. The second pod is the Tripper Screen, which brings Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone app pairing and turn-by-turn navigation.

This marks a bi change from the Himalayan 411, which used a four-pod instrument cluster as standard, expanding to five pods with the optional Tripper Screen. That setup included a dedicated analogue tachometer, an analogue fuel gauge and a digital compass.

Other design elements visible in the spy shots, including the tail light, indicators, rear fender, circular ORVMs, windshield, switchgear and exhaust, appear near-identical to the Himalayan 411. The long-travel suspension, braking hardware and the rider's triangle are also expected to carry over largely unchanged.

The Himalayan 440 will draw power from the LS440 engine already seen on the Scram 440. This is a 443cc single-cylinder, SOHC, 2-valve, oil-cooled unit producing 25.4 bhp and 34 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
