Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition Launched At Rs 2.11 Lakh

Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition at Rs 2.11 lakh. The retro roadster gets a new colour scheme dedicated to the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army, and it carries no mechanical changes over the standard model.

Bookings for the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition have opened, with the motorcycle priced in the middle of the Classic 350's seven-shade lineup. Royal Enfield has limited the changes to cosmetic tribute elements while retaining the model's existing hardware.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition Gets Tribute Decals

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition is finished in a matte military green, a shade typically associated with army vehicles. The side panels carry the crossed Khukris, the official insignia of the Gorkha Regiment, an infantry unit of the Indian Army. The fuel tank also gets a dedicated 'Gorkha Edition' sticker. Beyond the paint and the tribute graphics, the underlying design of the motorcycle stays the same as the rest of the Classic 350 range.

Speaking at the launch, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Chief Commercial Officer, Royal Enfield, said, "With the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition, we pay tribute to an extraordinary military legacy defined by fierce bravery, loyalty and absolute honour. Every detail stays true to the timeless character of the Classic 350, while the bespoke Gorkha insignia speak of the values that have defined this regiment for generations. The Gorkha apparel collection extends that tribute beyond the ride, giving our community a way to carry that legacy forward with pride and purpose."

Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant General Sanjeev Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, President, Gorkha Brigade, said, "The strength of the Gorkha Regiment lies not only in its history, but in the values of courage, discipline and honour that have been upheld across generations. It is a privilege to see this legacy acknowledged through the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition, which pays tribute to the spirit and traditions of the Gorkha soldiers with dignity and respect."

The Gorkha Edition uses the same J-series 349cc single-cylinder engine as the standard Classic 350, producing 20.2hp and 27Nm of torque through a 5-speed gearbox. It also gets dual-channel ABS, matching the higher variants in the lineup.

Electronics on the Gorkha Edition are unchanged too, with a semi-digital instrument cluster carried over. The Tripper navigation pod is missing from the cluster, though it should be available as an accessory. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition gets an assist and slipper clutch along with a USB Type-C port, both features that were recently added to the standard Classic 350 as well.
