Ola S1 X+ 5.2kWh Launched At ₹ 1.29 Lakh; 320km IDC Range
Bangalore-based EV manufacturer Ola Electric has launched the S1 X+ electric scooter with a 5.2 kWh battery pack, priced at an introductory ₹ 1,29,999 until April 15, 2026. After this date, prices for the electric scooter are likely to see an upward revision.
The new Ola S1 X+ 5.2kWh sits right between the lower-capacity 4kWh S1 X+ priced at ₹ 1,02,499 and the 5.2kWh S1 Pro+ priced at ₹ 1,44,999 (All prices mentioned are ex-showroom). It goes up against the Bajaj Chetak 35 series, Ather 450X, TVS iQube and Hero Vida VX2.

The new S1 X+ 5.2kWh is powered by the Ola Electric's in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell, marking the wider rollout of its cell technology to mass-market products. The launch is part of Ola Electric's strategy to expand the use of its vertically integrated battery and vehicle platform. The same type of cells have been seen in the S1 Pro Plus and the Roadster X+.
The Ola S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is equipped with a 14.75bhp (11 kW) mid-drive motor (peak output) and an integrated motor control unit. The Ola S1 X+ 5.2 kWh offers a claimed range of 320 km (IDC) and a top speed of 125 km/h.
The scooter also features brake-by-wire technology and a front disc brake system. The Ola S1 X+ 5.2 kWh sports the same set of features as the lower 4kWh variant. These include an LCD instrument console, ride modes and single-channel ABS.
Speaking about the launch of the new S1 X+ 5.2kWh variant, an Ola Electric spokesperson said, "With S1 X+ 5.2 kWh, we are taking our 4680 Bharat Cell to the mass market at scale. The same technology platform we built for our most advanced products is now powering a scooter designed for much wider EV adoption. This is exactly what vertical integration enables - the ability to innovate deeply, scale quickly, and bring our best technology to more and more customers, faster. S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is where performance, range and scale come together, and is another important step towards making EVs accessible to every Indian."
Ola Electric's current portfolio includes the Gen 3 S1 scooters across multiple battery configurations, including the S1 Pro+ and S1 Pro, as well as mass-market S1 X models. It also sells electric motorcycles under the Roadster X motorcycle range with battery options ranging from 2.5 kWh to 9.1 kWh.
