Oben Electric Riders Clock 3.2 Crore Km – ₹8 Crore Petrol Savings
Oben Electric has announced that its customers have collectively covered over 3.2 crore kilometres, marking a significant milestone and reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-growing commuter electric vehicle brands in India. This achievement has been reached in just two years, highlighting the brand's rapid growth and increasing market presence in the Indian EV segment.
Oben Electric's New Milestone
The company currently offers commuter-focused motorcycles, including the Rorr, Rorr EZ, and Rorr EZ Sigma. Together, these models have contributed to the 3.2 crore kilometres covered on Indian roads. Data from riders indicates that these motorcycles are primarily used for daily commuting in urban environments in varied road conditions.
States like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi have recorded the highest usage, accounting for a major share of the total kilometres clocked. Additionally, customers have collectively saved around ₹8 crore in fuel costs by switching to Oben Electric motorcycles. This has also led to a reduction of approximately 385 metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions, showcasing both the economic and environmental benefits of electric mobility.
Commenting on this milestone, Madhumita Agarwal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, said, "Daily commuting demands consistency, reliability, and ownership confidence. Improved Customer Service
The company has also recorded an impressive 375% year-on-year growth, reflecting the rising demand for electric vehicles in India. To further strengthen its presence, Oben Electric plans to expand its retail footprint to 500 showrooms over the next two years, significantly enhancing its ecosystem across the country.
Oben Electric is also developing key EV components in-house, including LFP battery systems, motors, vehicle control units, and fast chargers. These components are manufactured at the brand's 3.5-acre state-of-the-art facility in Bengaluru.
Through its "Oben Care" initiative, the company aims to deliver a strong after-sales experience, offering reliable service support, 24/7 customer assistance, and improved accessibility for users. This plays a crucial role in building customer confidence for everyday usage.
Oben Rorr EV Motorcycles
The standard Oben Rorr electric motorcycle is priced at ₹1.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and offers a claimed range of up to 187 km on a single charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3 seconds and has a top speed of 100 km/h.
The more affordable Oben Rorr EZ starts at ₹99,999 (ex-showroom) and offers a range of up to 175 km, with a top speed of 95 km/h. The Rorr EZ Sigma is priced at ₹1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and delivers a claimed range of 140 km. All models come with a standard 3-year or 40,000 km warranty on the battery and motor.
