Norton Atlas And Atlas GT Full Specs And UK Price Revealed - India Launch Expected Later This Year
TVS-owned British bikemaker Norton has revealed complete technical specifications and UK pricing for the Atlas and Atlas GT, its two middleweight parallel-twin motorcycles. Both models have already been spotted testing on Indian roads and are expected to go on sale in India later this year.
Manufactured at TVS Motor Company's Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu, local production is expected to allow Norton to price both models aggressively against rivals such as the KTM 390 Adventure R, BMW F 450 GS, Honda NX500 and Kawasaki Versys 650.

Norton Atlas - Engine And Running Gear
A 585cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin with a 270-degree crankshaft powers both the Norton Atlas and Atlas GT. It produces 69hp and 57.5Nm, with drive going through a 6-speed gearbox. A bidirectional quickshifter and slipper clutch are standard on both variants.
Both bikes share a high-strength steel trellis frame with the engine serving as a stressed member, paired with a cast aluminium swingarm. The differences between the two models begin with their wheel sizes, suspension setup and overall ergonomic configuration.

Norton Atlas vs Atlas GT: Key Differences
The Atlas is the adventure-focused variant and gets fully adjustable KYB suspension with 180mm of travel at both ends. It uses a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel, available in cast alloy or wire-spoke form.
Ground clearance stands at 220mm, seat height is 845mm, and kerb weight is 188kg without fuel. These figures place the Atlas squarely in genuine middleweight adventure tourer territory.

The Atlas GT is road-oriented and adopts 17-inch wheels at both ends with reduced suspension travel of 140mm front and rear. Seat height drops to a more accessible 815mm. Norton has not yet disclosed the GT's kerb weight.
Braking hardware is shared across both models and comprises twin 310mm front discs and a 270mm rear disc, all paired with ByBre callipers.

Norton Atlas: Electronics And Features
A Bosch 6-axis IMU underpins the electronics suite for the Atlas lineup, enabling lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, drag torque control, cornering cruise control, wheelie control, rear lift control and rear slide control. Five riding modes are available: Urban, Rain, Sport, Tour and Enduro.
Both models carry an 8-inch touchscreen TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation, GoPro connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and OTA updates via the Norton Rider app. Keyless ignition with electronic steering lock, seat lock and fuel filler cap access is also standard.

A higher-spec Apex trim is available for both bikes, adding electronic combined braking, vehicle hold assist, heated grips, TPMS, LED cornering lights and an easy-adjust windscreen.
Norton Atlas: UK Price And India Outlook
UK pricing for the Atlas range starts at £8,250, which converts to approximately Rs 10.56 lakh. India pricing has not been announced yet, though local manufacture at the TVS Motor plant in Hosur should enable the brand to price both motorcycles competitively in the middleweight segment.
