Made In India! Norton Atlas ADV Production Begins At TVS Hosur Plant
Norton Motorcycles upcoming Atlas adventure touring motorcycle has officially entered production in India. TVS Motor Company has commenced production of this premium mid-weight motorcycle at its Hosur manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.
Norton Atlas Production Begins In India
The iconic British motorcycle brand has been reborn under the leadership of TVS Motor Company, with a clear focus on introducing a range of mid-weight and premium motorcycles globally. These include the Atlas platform and the premium Manx series.

Norton has already revealed the Manx range globally, which will be manufactured in the UK. However, its engine production is expected to take place in India at TVS manufacturing plant located in India.
Atlas To Be Fully Made In India
The second major product under Norton's revival strategy is the Atlas ADV, which will be completely manufactured in India. The Atlas lineup will include two variants - Atlas All-Terrain, focused on off-road touring, and Atlas GT, which will be more road-oriented. TVS has now officially rolled out the first batch of the Norton Atlas motorcycle from its Hosur facility.

While the design, engineering, and product strategy were developed at Norton's headquarters in Solihull, UK, production and supply chain operations will be handled entirely by TVS in India. This gives Norton access to one of the largest and most efficient manufacturing ecosystems in the country, helping it keep costs competitive.
585cc Parallel-Twin Engine
The Norton Atlas is expected to be powered by a 585cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine featuring a 270-degree firing order, which should deliver strong low-end torque and characterful performance.
The motorcycle is also expected to offer several advanced rider assistance technologies and segment-first features, positioning it strongly in the premium mid-weight ADV segment.
India Launch Expected In 2027

The Norton Atlas is likely to make its global market debut by the end of 2026, while its India launch is expected sometime in 2027. TVS has already started expanding its premium retail footprint through TVS Paddock, a dedicated premium sales and service network for motorcycles above 300cc.
These outlets are expected to retail Norton motorcycles alongside TVS' premium offerings, similar to how KTM and Husqvarna operate. Once launched, the Norton Atlas could emerge as one of the most premium, feature-rich, and desirable adventure motorcycles in India, directly challenging models from Royal Enfield, KTM, and Kawasaki in the 500cc adventure touring segment.
