Yamaha India has launched the new Aerox electric scooter in India. This scooter has been launched at an ultra-premium price of ₹2.82 lakh (ex-showroom). It costs nearly twice as much as its ICE sibling and has become one of the highly priced scooters in India.

India's premium electric scooter segment now has a new model with the launch of the Yamaha Aerox-E. However, the pricing has made it an ultra-premium offering, and here's what buyers will get for this price.
Athletic Design

The Yamaha Aerox is already known for its sporty, athletic design, and the same styling has now been carried over to its EV version. It looks aggressive with a sleek twin-LED headlight, sharper aerodynamics for cleaner airflow, and muscular bodywork that gives it a bold stance on the road.
Boosted Performance
The Aerox-E delivers boosted performance with Power Boost, which provides a surge of power for rapid acceleration and a strong pull, something that is especially useful in cities for sudden overtakes. It also comes with three ride modes (Eco, Std, and Pwr), which can be switched easily according to the rider's mood.
Advanced Powertrain

The Aerox-E comes with an advanced powertrain featuring a removable 3 kWh (1.5 kWh + 1.5 kWh) battery pack, which claims a maximum range of 117 km on a single charge. The powerful motor produces 9.4 kW of power and 48 Nm of torque, helping the scooter achieve a top speed of 95.5 km/h. The battery can be charged from 0-100% in 3 hours and 10 minutes.
Premium Tech
Apart from the riding modes, the Aerox-E also packs several premium comfort and technology features, including a colour TFT console, a traction control system for maximum grip, smartphone connectivity via the Y-Connect app, and a smart key with an answer-back function.
Super Convenient

For added convenience, it gets versatile two-level seats for an elevated riding experience, wider rear tyres for maximum stability while cornering, a dedicated dock charger to charge the removable batteries, all-LED lighting, and a high-mounted rear suspension.
Rivals
Yamaha has launched the Aerox-E at a premium price, and it rivals models like the Ather 450 Apex, TVS X, and the BMW CE 02. The Aerox ICE version is currently priced at ₹1.44 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
