The Indian electric two-wheeler market recorded its highest-ever sales in March 2026. The approaching deadline of the PM E-DRIVE scheme initially prompted a surge in EV purchases. However, the government has now decided to extend the scheme until July 2026.

5. Ola Electric

After facing a sharp decline over the past few months, Ola Electric has made a positive comeback in March 2026. The brand had slipped to sixth position in February but has now reclaimed the fifth spot with sales of 10,117 units.

The PM E-DRIVE scheme, along with multiple offers from the company, helped boost sales despite a 57% year-on-year decline. Ola Electric is expected to carry this renewed momentum into the coming months.

Hero MotoCorp-owned Vida has recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in March 2026. The company sold a total of 21,434 units, marking a 128% growth compared to March 2025, when it sold just 8,039 units.

The brand has also introduced a new Knight Edition of its VX2 Plus electric scooter, inspired by the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL franchise, featuring exclusive decals and a themed design. Hero is also the only manufacturer in the top 5 brands to bring swappable batteries.

The brand delivered 46,246 units in March 2026, marking its highest-ever monthly sales. Bajaj has also introduced a more affordable C2501 variant, priced competitively against ICE scooters while offering a modern design and features.
