KYT R1R Helmet Launched At ₹39,000 - Tricomposite Shell, ECE 22.06 Certified, 3 Variants
KYT Helmets has launched the R1R full-face racing helmet in India, with prices starting at ₹39,000. The helmet is distributed through House Of Machines (HOM), the official KYT importer for India, and is now available at authorised dealers nationwide. The KYT R1R was first revealed at India Bike Week last year.
The KYT R1R racing helmet is offered in three variants. The Colour Graphics range is priced at ₹39,000, while both the Carbon Graphics and Replica ranges are priced at ₹43,500. In KYT's India lineup, the R1R sits above the NZ Race and below the flagship KX-1 Race GP.

KYT R1R - Shell Construction & Safety
The R1R uses a tricomposite shell combining carbon fibre, aramid fibre, and fibreglass, offered in three shell sizes - S, M, and L. A size M unit weighs 1,550g, which is broadly in line with other helmets in this segment. Beneath the shell sits a multi-density EPS liner designed for progressive energy absorption across different impact zones.
The helmet carries ECE 22.06 homologation, the latest and most stringent European safety standard, along with ISI certification for the Indian market. Closure is handled by a double-D ring system, standard for helmets at this price point.
KYT R1R - Aerodynamics, Ventilation & Visor System
The R1R's shell profile was developed over three years of wind tunnel testing at KYT's facility in Italy. Intake vents are positioned at the chin, forehead, and top of the helmet, working alongside a passive rear vent and a Venturi-effect extraction system to manage airflow. The interior lining uses Hydrocool technical fabric for moisture and heat management during riding.
The KYT R1R's visor offers a 210-degree horizontal and 90-degree vertical field of view, with Optical Class 1 clarity. The visor uses a rototranslation opening mechanism, which KYT says improves sealing when the visor is closed. The metal alloy Racing Lock System, borrowed from the MotoGP paddock, secures the visor at speed. The visor is Pinlock-compatible, though the anti-fog insert is sold separately. Tinted visor options are available as paid accessories.
Commenting on the launch, Ajit Bharadwaj, Director at House Of Machines, said, "The R1R represents everything KYT stands for, pure racing DNA, uncompromising safety, and performance-driven design. With this launch, we are bringing a true MotoGP-developed helmet to Indian riders who demand the very best, whether on the track or the road. It marks a significant step in strengthening KYT's presence in India's premium riding gear segment."
