KTM RC 450 Launched In China For CNY 34,999 (₹4.73 Lakh) - 56hp Twin-Cylinder Little Orange Maniac
Bajaj-owned Austrian bikemaker KTM has launched the RC 450 in China at a price of CNY 34,999 (approximately ₹4.73 lakh). The launch of the KTM RC 450 marks the brand's entry into the twin-cylinder 450cc supersport segment in the market.
The KTM RC 450 was developed and manufactured in partnership with Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer CFMoto. The RC 450 shares its underpinnings with the CFMoto 450 SR and 450 SR-S, including its core engine and chassis architecture.

The all-new KTM RC 450 adopts KTM's latest supersport design language, drawing inspiration from its much larger sibling, the KTM 990 RC R. The new RC 450 features an angular fairing, integrated winglets and a sharply raised tail section.
KTM RC 450 - The Mechanical Bits
The KTM RC 450 motorcycle is powered by a 449cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft producing 56hp and 39Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox aided by a slip-and-assist clutch and a quickshifter. The KTM RC 450's claimed top speed is 195km/h.

The RC 450 uses a trellis frame along with a single-sided aluminium swingarm derived from the CFMoto 450 SR-S. Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable WP USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock. The WP suspension setup is tuned for track-oriented performance and is fully adjustable.
Braking on the RC 450 is managed by a 320mm front disc with four piston WP radial callipers, supported by dual-channel ABS from Bosch. The RC 450 rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 110/70 (front) and 150/60 (rear tyres), aimed at delivering sharper handling characteristics.
The RC 450 comes equipped with ride-by-wire, traction control and ride modes. It also gets cruise control, along with a TFT display offering connectivity features. Additional equipment includes optional features such as tyre pressure monitoring and heated grips.
The all-new KTM RC 450 is built on a CFMoto-based platform and is intended to be exclusively sold in the Chinese market. KTM, which is now owned by Bajaj, is developing a separate 450cc twin-cylinder platform for global markets, including India and Europe. The global-spec KTM RC 450 will target motorcycles such as the Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 400, and it is expected to arrive sometime in 2027.
