KTM 890 Adventure R Rally: Dakar-Inspired, Red Bull Livery & Only 700 Units!

KTM has now unveiled the 890 Adventure R Rally, inspired by its Dakar Rally motorcycle. This adventure-focused motorcycle will be a limited-edition model and is built to deliver extreme off-road performance.

KTM Unveils Limited Edition 890 Adventure R Rally Motorcycle

Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM is one of the most popular two-wheeler brands in the industry. Not only in motorcycle sales, but the brand is also highly dominant in motorsports, especially in MotoGP and the Dakar Rally.

Most of its motorcycles, technology, and engineering are developed based on the knowledge gained from racing. Now, KTM has introduced the new 2026 890 Adventure R Rally limited-edition model for enthusiasts seeking top-notch off-roading performance.

Design and Components

It gets special Red Bull racing-inspired graphics and livery, along with a two-tone fuel tank design. The motorcycle is built on a steel trellis frame, paired with fully adjustable WP XPLOR PRO forks and a WP XPLOR PRO monoshock. The bike is finely tuned for rally conditions, with braking handled by 320mm front and 260mm rear Brembo discs.

Off-road Capable

It features tubeless spoke wheels with rugged 21/18-inch Pirelli rally tyres. The ground clearance stands at 303mm, and the total dry weight is 200 kg, enhancing its off-road capability and handling. Additionally, it features a one-piece rally seat, factory racing footpegs, carbon fibre radiator guards, and an Akrapovič slip-on exhaust.

Engine and gearbox

KTM continues with the same 889cc parallel-twin LC8c engine with liquid cooling. This engine produces a maximum power output of 104.6 PS and 100 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, with Quickshifter+ as standard. The motorcycle is equipped with a 20-litre fuel tank, making it suitable for long-distance touring and rally use.

Technology

In terms of technology, it features a 5-inch TFT display with KTM connectivity, supporting navigation, music and call control, and telemetry. Other highlights include advanced rider aids such as Rally mode, adjustable traction control, cornering ABS, and motor slip regulation.

Exclusive and Limited

This street-legal motorcycle offers a comprehensive package of features and technologies required for serious off-roading at a relatively more accessible price point. Only 700 units of this motorcycle will be produced and sold worldwide.

In India, the regular KTM Adventure R starts at ₹15.80 lakh (ex-showroom). This limited-edition model is expected to be priced at around ₹24 lakh (ex-showroom). KTM has announced that deliveries of the motorcycle will begin in April 2026.
