KTM Announces 4-Year Global Warranty For All Road-Legal Motorcycles
KTM has announced an extended international warranty of up to four years for its motorcycles. The updated warranty programme will apply to all road-legal KTM models manufactured from 2025 onwards. This latest move is expected to boost customer confidence and long-term ownership value.
KTM Extended Warranty Program
KTM Motorcycles enjoys strong popularity across global markets, including Europe and Asia. The Austrian motorcycle brand offers a wide lineup ranging from entry-level naked bikes to high-performance supersport and adventure motorcycles, appealing to a diverse range of riders and enthusiasts.
After going through a challenging financial phase in recent years, Bajaj Auto stepped in to stabilise KTM's global operations. With the brand now regaining momentum, the company has announced this new four-year standard warranty for all its road-legal motorcycles to renew customer confidence and long-term ownership value.

Under the new policy, motorcycles ranging from entry-level models such as the 160cc range to flagship machines like the KTM 1390 Super Duke R Evo will be eligible for this extended warranty coverage. However, purpose-built machines such as motocross bikes and track-only motorcycles will not be included in this programme.
There are also certain conditions for customers to qualify for the extended warranty. Owners must ensure their motorcycles are serviced regularly at authorised KTM dealerships, and warranty coverage will depend on the verified service history of the motorcycle. Maintaining proper service records is expected to help preserve the bike's long-term reliability and resale value.

Another key highlight of this warranty programme is that the coverage remains valid even if the motorcycle changes ownership, meaning the extended warranty will automatically transfer to the new owner. This feature further enhances the overall ownership experience and long-term value proposition for KTM customers.
What is it for the Indian Market?
At present, this four-year warranty programme is applicable only in international markets, while motorcycles sold in India continue to come with a three-year standard warranty. However, there is strong speculation that KTM may introduce a similar extended warranty scheme in the Indian market in the near future. If implemented in India, the move could significantly strengthen customer trust and reinforce KTM's brand value, especially in the highly competitive performance motorcycle segment.
