Off-Road-Focused KTM 390 Adventure R Launched In India At ₹3.77 Lakh

KTM has launched the off-road-focused 390 Adventure R motorcycle in India. The new ADV is priced at ₹3.77 lakh (ex-showroom) and is positioned between the lower-spec 390 Adventure X and the premium 390 Adventure model.

This motorcycle is built specifically for off-road enthusiasts seeking serious adventure riding. With this launch, Indian buyers no longer need to modify or upgrade components for off-road use, as the motorcycle comes factory-equipped with off-road-ready hardware.

What's New In the KTM 390 Adventure R?

It features long-travel front and rear suspension with 230 mm of wheel travel. This additional suspension travel provides a clear advantage during off-road trails and adventure riding. The bike also gets the same off-road-spec tyres as the 390 Enduro, offering improved grip on uneven terrain and rough surfaces.

The ground clearance has been significantly increased, with the 390 Adventure R offering 272 mm of ground clearance. The seat height is also taller than a regular motorcycle, now measuring 870 mm, which further enhances its off-road-focused nature.

What's Unchanged?

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged. It is powered by the same 399 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 46 PS of power and 39 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Safety and technology features include ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, cornering ABS, multiple ride modes, a full-colour TFT display, cruise control, a 14L Fuel tank, projector LED headlamps, KTM Connect, and USB Type-C charging.

The KTM 390 Adventure R packs several features and components that enhance its off-road capability. However, it misses out on tubeless spoke wheels, which would have made it even more practical and attractive, especially considering its price point.
