Updated KTM 200 Duke Launched

KTM 200 Duke - Features and Rider Aids

The new electronics package for the KTM 200 Duke includes Ride-by-Wire, a bi-directional quickshifter, traction control and two ride modes, Street and Rain. The quickshifter allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts, traction control manages rear-wheel traction, and the ride modes adjust power delivery to riding conditions.

The 5-inch TFT display, which arrived in 2024, now carries the new functions, letting the rider manage traction control, ride modes and the quickshifter through the instrument interface. The right-side switch cube has also been updated. The KTM 200 Duke also gets Crawl Assist which is aimed at stop-and-go city traffic, where it reduces rider fatigue.

Speaking on the announcement, Dinesh Kulkarni, Head - Probiking Business Unit, said, "The KTM 200 Duke changed the game for performance motorcycling in India, and we have never stopped pushing it forward. Over the years, it has continued to evolve, setting benchmarks in the category. With this latest upgrade, we are bringing advanced technology inspired by KTM's racing DNA, previously associated with our larger-capacity motorcycles, to the 200 Duke. It reflects our commitment to making performance, precision and control central to the riding experience, while staying true to the READY TO RACE spirit that defines KTM."

KTM 200 Duke - Engine, Hardware and Colours

The KTM 200 Duke retains its 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which makes 25hp at 10,000rpm and 19.3Nm at 8,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox which is equipped with the aforementioned new bi-directional quickshifter.

The suspension setup on the KTM 200 Duke consists of 43 mm WP Apex USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking up front is handled by a 320 mm disc, and the rear tyre is a 150-section unit. The larger disc and lighter alloy wheels, both borrowed from the 390 Duke, were added earlier this year, and the styling carries over from the second-generation model launched in 2020.

Liquid Carbon, an all-black finish is being offered on the 200 Duke for the first time along with Slate Grey. The two new colourways replace Atlantic Blue, introduced earlier this year, and Silver Metallic. The new KTM 200 Duke continues to be offered in the Electronic Orange and Dark Galvano colourways seen before.
