Keeway Plans Premium EZI Hypevolt Electric Scooter For India To Rival Ultraviolette
Keeway is looking to enter the fast-growing electric scooter segment in India by introducing its EZI brand next month. The first electric scooter from the company could be the performance-focused EZI Hypevolt.
Keeway To Bring EZI Hypevolt Electric Scooter
QJ Motor-owned Keeway is currently selling its ICE motorcycles in India. Now, the Keeway Group is looking to enter the Indian EV market with its EZI EV brand vehicles. The electric two-wheeler segment is rapidly growing in India and is currently dominated by brands like TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, and Ather Energy.

At the same time, there is also growing demand in the premium EV category with companies like Ultraviolette and Ola Electric offering advanced electric motorcycles and scooters. However, there is still strong growth potential in the premium electric scooter segment, and this is where the Keeway Group is expected to position its EZI EV brand.
EZI Hypevolt EV Scooter
The EZI Hypevolt is one such performance-focused scooter that could target younger buyers and enthusiasts in India. The electric scooter reportedly claims a top speed of around 115 km/h along with a riding range of approximately 140 km on a single charge. The scooter is also expected to handle both urban commuting and light adventure-oriented rides.

Its key highlights include a water-flow inspired LED strip, 14-inch semi-slick tyres, dual-channel ABS, smartphone app connectivity, 5-inch TFT display with screen projection navigation, rear camera, and ADAS safety features.
Other intelligent features expected on the scooter include a Traction control system, Hill descent control, Hill hold assist, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Reverse camera, Intelligent cruise control, and USB charging port.
The EZI EV division is based out of China, and hence we expect the scooter to initially arrive in India through the CBU route if launched officially. The India-spec model could also receive several changes and tuning updates according to local market requirements and riding conditions. If launched in India, the EZI Hypevolt could directly rival upcoming premium electric scooters like the Ultraviolette Tesseract.
