Kawasaki Z300 Launched At Rs 3.24 Lakh

Japanese bikemaker Kawasaki has launched the Z300 in India at Rs 3.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Z300 is now the most affordable motorcycle in Kawasaki's Z line-up in India.

The Kawasaki Z300 sport-naked is based on the Ninja 300 and shares most of its cycle parts with the sportsbike. Styling cues come from the larger Z900's Sugomi design language, and the Z300 is offered in Candy Lime Green/Ebony and Metallic Carbon Gray/Ebony colours.

The Kawasaki Z300 goes up against the 2026 KTM 390 Duke, which costs Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and the TVS Apache RTR 310 that retails at Rs 2.30 lakh. However, both of these bikes are single-cylinder motorcycles, while the Z300 runs a parallel-twin engine.

Kawasaki Z300 - Engine, Chassis & Features

The Kawasaki Z300 uses the same 296cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as the Ninja 300. The engine pushes out 39.4bhp at 11,000rpm and 26.3Nm at 10,000rpm and is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch as standard. The engine also gets Kawasaki's dual-throttle valve technology.

The Kawasaki Z300 sits on the Ninja 300's tubular frame, with a 37mm telescopic fork at the front and a preload-adjustable Uni-Trak monoshock at the rear taking care of the suspension duties. Braking is handled by a 290mm front and a 220mm rear petal disc, with dual-channel ABS as standard and the Z300 rides on 17-inch alloys. Ground clearance is 140mm, kerb weight stands at 175kg and the fuel tank holds 17 litres.

Design highlights of the Kawasaki Z300 include the Z-shaped headlight section that sits up front, flanked by large tank extensions. The handlebar is a wide, upright single-piece unit. The Z300 gets a reverse LCD console, similar to the unit on the Ninja 500, with a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and clock. It also shows an odometer, two trip meters, a service indicator and the coolant temperature.
