Jawa 730 Twin Unveiled - Neo-Retro Middleweight Not For India
Jawa Moto, the Czech Republic-based motorcycle manufacturer, has unveiled the Neo-Retro Jawa 730 Twin motorcycle in Europe, expanding its product range with a larger-capacity twin-cylinder model that is unlikely to be launched in India.
The Jawa 730 Twin motorcycle is produced by the original Jawa brand in Czech Republic and not by Classic Legends, the company that holds the licence to manufacture and sell Jawa motorcycles in India. The 730 Twin shares the brand name but is a separate offering developed for international markets.
At the heart of the Neo-Retro 730 Twin is a 730 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, swiss-made engine producing 74 bhp, driving the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission. The Jawa 730 Twin motorcycle's engine architecture reflects a shift back to its iconic twin-cylinder and is designed to deliver torque and power suitable for prolonged road use.
The Jawa 730 Twin adopts a neo-retro design language, with a round headlamp, compact fuel tank and exposed frame elements that blend classic styling cues with a modern platform. The bodywork frames a silhouette that is distinctly different from current Jawa models sold in India and emphasises its larger engine and chassis layout.
The Jawa 730 Twin motorcycle's suspension hardware features upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the rear, with both ends equipped with 17-inch wheels. Braking on the Jawa 730 Twin is handled by twin-disc brakes at the front, equipped with Brembo callipers and Bosch dual-channel ABS.
The instrument cluster on the Jawa 730 Twin features a TFT console with navigation and connectivity functions, including call and SMS alerts, offering a blend of retro presentation and contemporary digital features.
As of now, there is no confirmation from Jawa Moto or Classic Legends regarding a launch plan for the 730 Neo-Retro Twin in India, and the motorcycle is currently positioned to go on sale in Europe and other international markets.
