Honda XR300L And XR300 Rally Launched - Prices Start At Rs 1.83 Lakh
Japanese bikemaker Honda has launched the XR300L And XR300 Rally in India, just months after revealing the bikes in July. The Honda XR300L is priced at Rs 1.83 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, while the XR300 Rally costs Rs 2.08 lakh. Both dual-sport motorcycles are locally manufactured.
Honda has opened bookings at BigWing dealerships across the country. The XR300L is the company's first dual-sport motorcycle in India, and both bikes were part of the 10-model lineup it showcased in July.

Both motorcycles use a 293.5cc air- and oil-cooled engine shared with the CB300F. Honda is yet to publish the India power and torque figures on its website. The India-spec bikes get revised exhaust routing compared with the South American XR300L.
The XR300L has a beak-style front fender, a slim profile and a raised exhaust. Suspension is long-travel at both ends, with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The wheels are a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke combination. Disc brakes at both ends come with dual-channel ABS, and the rear ABS can be switched off for controlled slides. A traction control system is also fitted.

The Rally costs Rs 25,000 more than the XR300L. Its fuel tank holds 13 litres against 7.8 litres on the XR300L, and it also gets a taller windscreen, knuckle guards, rally-inspired bodywork and more comprehensive switchgear. The 5-inch TFT display supports smartphone connectivity through the Honda RoadSync app, including turn-by-turn navigation.
Honda has had little presence in this segment in India, where most major manufacturers now have a model. The Honda XR300L takes on the Hero Xpulse 210, priced from Rs 1.68 lakh to Rs 1.77 lakh, and the Kawasaki KLX230, which has a smaller engine.
