Honda QC3 Launched At Rs 1.35 Lakh - 145km Range

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has launched the QC3 electric scooter in India at Rs 1.35 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, marking the brand's third EV two-wheeler after the QC1 and the Activa e:. The Honda QC3 uses a 3kWh battery rated for a certified 145km IDC range.

Initial sales of the Honda QC3 are limited to five cities, Delhi, Agra, Cuttack, Surat and Kollam, through RedWing dealerships, with a phased nationwide rollout to follow. Bookings are open at Rs 5,000 via Honda's website or at a dealership, though delivery timelines haven't been announced yet.

Honda QC3 Battery, Range and Features

The Honda QC3 is powered by a 3kWh battery pack that can be topped up from zero to 80 percent in two hours and 40 minutes, with a full charge taking about four hours. Compared to the QC1's smaller 1.5kWh battery that needs four hours and 30 minutes to reach 80 percent, and six hours and 50 minutes for a full charge, the QC3 sure looks like a big upgrade.

Under-seat storage stands at 32 litres, 6 litres more than the QC1's 26 litres. The QC3 gets a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Honda RoadSync connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. A Smart Key comes as standard, and the scooter runs a hub-mounted motor paired with a front disc brake.

Honda QC3 Colours and Rivals

Honda offers the QC3 in four colours, Matt Photon Gray Metallic, Pearl Precious White, Pearl Shallow Blue and Pearl Siren Blue. Local manufacturing has let Honda price it more aggressively than its earlier electric scooters.

At Rs 1.35 lakh, the QC3 sits close to the TVS iQube 3.1kWh at Rs 1.30 lakh and the Ather Konarc S 161 at Rs 1.45 lakh. It undercuts the Bajaj Chetak C3502 at Rs 1.44 lakh. The Hero Vida VX2 Plus 3.1, priced at Rs 1.03 lakh, remains the more affordable option among this set.
