Honda NX500 Launched WIth E-Clutch Tech
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has added E-Clutch technology to the NX500 adventure tourer, priced at ₹7,43,900 (ex-showroom, all India). Bookings for the Honda NX500 ADV opened across Honda BigWing dealerships.
The Honda E-Clutch system automates clutch engagement during starts, gear shifts, and stops, reducing the need for manual clutch operation in city traffic and on long highway runs. The Honda NX500 e-Clutch only adds 5 kilogrammes in total weight to the NX500

However, riders can override the Honda E-Clutch manually at any point. The rider can assume manual control whenever they like and the bike comes with a conventional clutch lever and gear pedal for the same.
Honda NX500 - The Other Mechanical Bits & Tech
The NX500 runs a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin paired with a 6-speed gearbox aided vy an assist and slipper clutch. Honda has tuned the engine for strong low- and mid-range torque delivery alongside linear power at higher revs. The DOHC twin-cylinder engine pushes out 46.9bhp at 8,600rpm and 43 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
Cycle parts on the NX500 include a steel diamond frame, Showa SFF-BP USD front forks, and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Dual front discs and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS handle braking duties.
The Honda NX500 adventure tourer rolls on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination. Equipment includes a 5-inch full-colour TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity for navigation, calls, and music, alongside Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and full-LED lighting.
Tsutsumu Otani, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said: "The Honda NX500 equipped with E Clutch technology enhances comfort and control across both urban and touring environments in India, by reducing rider fatigue, while retaining the engaging, hands-on riding experience that defines Honda motorcycles."
