Honda 2026 CB750 Hornet Gets e-Clutch Tech: No Clutch Lever Needed
Honda is set to introduce its e-Clutch technology on the 2026 CB750 Hornet, making it the most affordable Hornet series motorcycle to offer this feature. The e-Clutch system allows riders to shift gears without using the clutch lever, significantly improving ease of use, comfort, and everyday rideability.
Honda e-Clutch Technology in CB750 Hornet
Honda's e-Clutch technology is an innovation, especially beneficial in heavy traffic conditions and during long rides. The system helps reduce rider fatigue, lowers engine drag, and can also improve fuel efficiency, enabling riders to cover longer distances with greater comfort.

Previously, Honda introduced the e-Clutch system on the CB650R and CBR 650R, and now the CB750 Hornet is expected to receive this technology as well. Notably, this will be the first time Honda's e-Clutch is paired with motorcycles featuring Throttle-by-Wire technology.
The CB750 Hornet is powered by a 755cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, 8-valve engine that produces 92 hp at 9,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox along with the new e-Clutch system.

In terms of design, the bike features sharp wing-inspired styling, a 15.2-litre muscular fuel tank, and is built on a steel diamond frame. It features a bold streetfighter stance with split seats and a high-mounted rear exhaust system.
For hardware and safety, the CB750 Hornet is equipped with 41mm inverted Showa front forks, a Pro-Link rear mono-shock, dual front disc brakes, a single rear disc, dual-channel ABS, and tubeless tyres.

Technology highlights include a dual LED headlamp setup, a 5-inch full-colour TFT display with a 4-way handlebar toggle, and Honda RoadSync, offering turn-by-turn navigation, music playback, and call management.
In India, the CB750 Hornet is currently priced at 9.22 lakh (ex-showroom). With the addition of the e-Clutch system, the motorcycle could be priced at around 9.4 lakh (ex-showroom) if launched. It will compete against rivals such as the Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Trident 660, and the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
