The Honda Dio 125 X Edition has been unveiled ahead of its imminent launch, marking the introduction of a special edition version of the Japanese firm's sporty Dio 125 scooter. The Honda Dio 125 X Edition is positioned brings a few cosmetic and feature upgrades.

The exterior design of the Honda Dio 125 X Edition features a dual-tone body finish, combining contrasting blue and silver colours that distinguish it from standard single-tone Dio 125 models. The new scooter carries distinctive X Edition graphics on the body panels, with unique decals applied to the front apron and side panels along with orange alloy wheels.

A key highlight of the Honda Dio 125 X Edition is the inclusion of a TFT instrument cluster. This full-digital display delivers real-time ride information, including speedometer, odometer, trip meters and fuel indicators.

Powertrain specifications of the Honda Dio 125 X Edition remain aligned with the existing Dio 125 platform. At its core is a 123.92 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine equipped with Honda's PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) system. The engine pushes out 8.30 PS at 6,500rpm and 10.5 Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm and is paired with an automatic gearbox.

The Honda Dio 125 X Edition also features an Idling Stop System, which automatically shuts off the engine when the scooter is stationary for extended periods and restarts it when the throttle is opened. Another highlight is the side-stand engine cut-off feature that prevents the engine from running when the side stand is engaged.

Other features on the new Dio 125 X Edition that are carried over from the regular scooter include a double-lid external fuel filler, a glove box on the front apron with a USB Type-C charging port, a pass switch that enables the rider to flash the headlight for signalling, telescopic front suspension and a disc brake at the front.

Bookings for the Honda Dio 125 X Edition are expected to open soon at authorised Honda dealerships across India. Pricing details and exact launch timing are yet to be announced by Honda, but the new Dio 125 X Edition is expected to hit showrooms in the very near future.
