Honda CB500 Launched In India At Rs 2.75 Lakh

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has launched the CB500 in India at a starting price of Rs 2.75 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings for the retro-styled, single-cylinder motorcycle are open now at Honda BigWing dealerships across the country.

The CB500 is offered in three variants and draws power from an all-new 501cc engine, Honda's largest air-cooled single-cylinder unit currently sold in India. The motorcycle was first unveiled in July 2026 alongside a broader range of Honda models for the domestic market.

Honda CB500: Price and Variants

The base Alloy variant is priced at Rs 2.75 lakh, ex-showroom. The mid-spec Spoke variant steps up to cross-spoke tubeless rims for Rs 3 lakh, while the range-topping Spoke with Stripe variant adds exclusive colour and graphics options for Rs 3.02 lakh.

Honda CB500: Engine and Features

The Honda CB500's 501cc, air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine makes 27.6bhp and 43.3Nm of torque. A slipper clutch comes fitted as standard, alongside Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) across all three variants.

Every CB500 also gets an analogue-digital instrument console and Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity. The CB500 is now manufactured in India, which has helped Honda hold pricing steady even with the 40 percent GST rate that applies to motorcycles above 350cc.

The Honda CB500 fills a gap left vacant since Royal Enfield discontinued its 500cc UCE-based motorcycles in 2020. It is positioned above the Honda CB350 lineup within Honda's India range. The CB500 slots below the Royal Enfield 650 twins, which start at Rs 3.39 lakh, ex-showroom, Chennai. In India, its rivals include the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the BSA Gold Star 650.
