Honda ADV160 Launched At Rs 1.70 Lakh

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has launched the ADV160 in India at Rs 1,70,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), with bookings now open nationwide. The Honda ADV160 can be booked for Rs 5,000 through the brand's website or at any RedWing and BigWing showroom.

The ADV160 is the first model from the ten-product portfolio Honda showcased in India in July 2026 to receive an official price. Deliveries of the Honda ADV160 will begin from mid-October this year.

Honda ADV160: India's first E85-compatible scooter

The Honda ADV160 will be sold only in flex-fuel guise, with compatibility up to E85 fuel, making it the first flex-fuel scooter to go on sale in India. Honda is using its FlexTech technology on the scooter as part of the company's multi-pathway strategy for the Indian market. Compatibility with E85 means the engine can run on fuel containing up to 85 percent ethanol, though the flexible system also allows it to work with lower ethanol blends depending on local fuel availability.

Power comes from a 156.93cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, though Honda hasn't disclosed India-spec power and torque figures. In international markets, the same engine produces 16.3hp and 14.9Nm.

Honda ADV160: Adventure Styling & Features List

The Honda ADV160 combines maxi-scooter proportions with adventure-inspired styling, including a tall windscreen, angular bodywork, a stepped seat, a raised handlebar and rugged lower body panels. Despite the ADV-inspired look, the scooter is positioned mainly for city commuting, rough urban roads and occasional weekend rides.

The Honda ADV160 features 27 litres of under-seat storage, a 5-inch colour TFT display with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, and Honda Selectable Torque Control to reduce rear-wheel slip on loose or slippery surfaces. Braking duties are handled by discs at both ends, supported by single-channel ABS.

Honda is building the scooter locally, which has helped shape its pricing. At Rs 1.70 lakh, the ADV160 is more expensive than rivals like the Hero Xoom 160 and the Yamaha Aerox, though it counters with a longer features list, including the TFT display, more storage space and higher power output than both competitors.
