Hero Xtreme 160R 4V - Price & Variants
The 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is the most comprehensive update since the 4V version arrived in 2023, covering the styling, electronics, instrumentation and rider interface. Hero has also renamed the lineup, with the base model now called Standard, the Combat Edition becoming Pro and a new Carbon variant at the top.
The Standard, Pro and Carbon variants cost Rs 1.27 lakh, Rs 1.37 lakh and Rs 1.41 lakh respectively, and Hero has labelled all three prices as introductory. The Pro sits Rs 10,000 above the Standard. The outgoing base variant was priced at Rs 1.35 lakh and the Combat Edition at Rs 1.38 lakh. As the Combat Edition has effectively become the Pro, it is now Rs 1,000 cheaper and comes with the updated design.
Standard is offered in Firestorm Red and Pearl Black, while the Pro gets Pro Red and Pro Black. The Carbon has the widest palette, with Carbon Red, Carbon Black, Carbon Grey and Abrax Orange. Sales are through regular Hero MotoCorp outlets and Hero Premia dealerships.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V - Engine & Performance
The 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V keeps its 164.32cc, four-valve, oil-cooled single-cylinder engine across all variants. Peak power is up slightly to 17.1hp from 16.9hp, and it now arrives 250rpm later at 8,750rpm. Torque is unchanged at 14.6Nm at 6,500rpm.
Hero claims a 0-60km/h time of 4.4 seconds and calls it the fastest in the segment. Service intervals are longer too, with no oil change or tappet adjustment needed until 6,000km. Ride-by-wire throttle, three riding modes (Rain, Road and Sport) and cruise control are reserved for the Pro and Carbon. The Standard retains a mechanical throttle.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V - Design and Features
Hero calls the new design language of the Xtreme 160R 4V, Cybersharp, with revised tank shrouds, reshaped body panels and a more muscular stance. The fuel tank has been reworked for better knee grip, and the rear seat cowl is sharper than the Combat Edition's.
The lighting package includes an auto-illuminating Class D LED headlamp with a projector high beam, an ambient light sensor and H-shaped DRLs. The tail lamp is an H-shaped LED unit, and the indicators are full LED.
The Standard uses a telescopic fork and single-channel ABS. The Pro and Carbon get a 37mm KYB USD fork, a preload-adjustable monoshock and dual-channel ABS. All three variants have a 276mm front petal disc and a 220mm rear disc. Hero has also added Panic Brake Alert, which warns following traffic during sudden hard braking.
The Standard and Pro use the same LCD console as the Combat Edition. The Carbon gets a TFT screen shared with the Xpulse 210, with a layout redesigned for the Xtreme 160R. It shows riding modes, gear position, shift advisory, cruise-control status, distance to empty and real-time fuel economy.
Bluetooth connectivity brings call and message alerts, music controls, phone battery information and turn-by-turn navigation. Other additions include illuminated soft-touch switchgear, hazard lights, a Type-C fast charger and five-step adjustable brake and clutch levers.
The rider triangle has been revised, and the seat is 16mm longer at 642.9mm, with single-seat and split-seat layouts to choose from. Seat height has gone up by 2mm to 805mm and kerb weight by 1.5kg to 149kg, with no weight difference between the variants.
