Hero Vida Launches New VX2 Plus With Bigger Battery, 187 KM Range

Hero Vida has introduced a new, larger battery variant of the VX2 Plus in India. This new 4.4 kWh battery pack will be positioned above the existing 3.4 kWh battery variant and also offers more range than before.

Hero Vida VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh Battery Variant Launched

The Vida VX2 Plus is the top-of-the-line model in the lineup, offering excellent power, range, and features. Now, the scooter has been updated with a new 4.4 kWh battery pack, which replaces the 3.4 kWh battery pack that was previously offered on the top-spec variant.

More Battery and More Range

Hero Vida uses a removable 4.4 kWh battery pack, which is a combination of two 2.2 kWh batteries. The existing 3.4 kWh battery pack claims a maximum range of 146 km, while the newly introduced 4.4 kWh battery pack claims a range of 187 km.

This makes it one of the best EV scooters with excellent range and performance. The battery also supports DC fast charging, which charges the vehicle from 0-80% in 65 minutes, compared to standard AC charging, which takes 3 hours and 17 minutes to reach the same level.

Same Performance

The VX2 Plus produces 6 kW of power and 26 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-40 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. It also claims a top speed of 90 km/h. The company also has more than 6,000 fast-charging stations and over 700 service points, supporting the Hero Vida scooter ecosystem.

Technology and Features

Additionally, the Vida VX2 Plus is technologically advanced, offering features such as a 4.3-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity through the Vida App, turn-by-turn navigation, 27.2 litres of under-seat storage, a CBS braking system, OTA update support, riding modes (Eco, Ride, and Sport), and a Boost function.

Pricing and Rivals

The Hero Vida VX2 Plus with the 4.4 kWh battery pack is priced at Rs 1.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter is also available with the BaaS scheme, which further reduces the upfront cost to 45K. It rivals scooters such as the Ather Rizta, Ola S1 series, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak.
