Hero MotoCorp May 2026 Sales Rise To 5.70 Lakh Units: Exports Jump By Nearly 78%

Hero MotoCorp recorded total sales of 5,70,068 units in May 2026, registering a 12.28 per cent increase over 5,07,701 units sold during the same month last year. The company also reported a marginal improvement over April 2026 volumes of 5,66,086 units.

Hero's domestic dispatches stood at 5,36,784 units, up 9.77 per cent from 4,88,997 units in May 2025. Exports continued to be a major growth driver, rising 77.95 per cent year-on-year to 33,284 units.

Hero Motocorp May 2026 Sales: Motorcycles Lead Volumes

Hero Motocorp's motorcycle sales reached 5,03,763 units during the month, compared to 4,75,164 units a year earlier. The category registered growth of 6.02 per cent and remained the company's largest contributor by volume.

Combined domestic and export motorcycle sales accounted for the majority of Hero MotoCorp's overall dispatches, reinforcing the brand's position at the top of the sales charts in the commuter motorcycle segments.

Hero Motocorp May 2026 Sales: Scooter Business Sees Triple-Digit Growth

Hero's scooter sales climbed to 66,305 units in May 2026, up from 32,537 units recorded in May 2025. The segment posted growth of 103.78 per cent and increased its contribution to overall company sales thanks to the arrival of scooters like the new Xoom lineup and the increasing popularity of the Destini.

Exports rose to 33,284 units from 18,704 units sold during the corresponding month last year. The increase of 14,580 units translated into growth of nearly 78 per cent. While export volumes were slightly lower than the 33,653 units shipped in April 2026, overseas markets remained among the strongest-performing areas of the business.

VIDA Expands Electric Presence

Hero's electric mobility brand VIDA recorded 19,052 registrations on the VAHAN portal during May 2026. The company stated that retail registrations increased by 166 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Hero also commenced retail operations of the DIRT.E K3 in selected markets. The company further expanded its commuter motorcycle range last month with the launch of the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0.

Hero Motocorp May 2026 Sales: Strong Start To FY2026-27

Hero Motocorp's total sales for the April-May 2026 period reached 11,36,154 units, up 39.73 per cent from 8,13,107 units sold during the corresponding period last year. The firm's domestic sales grew to 10,69,217 units while exports rose to 66,937 units. Motorcycle sales stood at 10,05,554 units and scooter volumes increased to 1,30,600 units during the first two months of the financial year.
